Christopher Frey, Ph.D., who is visiting UVA as an instructor for the 26-27 academic year, is the McFarlin Professor of Philosophy at The University of Tulsa. Before joining The University of Tulsa, he taught at the University of South Carolina and the University of Chicago.

Frey’s primary research focuses on the history of ancient Greek philosophy, with an emphasis on Aristotle’s natural philosophy and metaphysics. His secondary research interests include the philosophy of perception and mind, metaphysics and the philosophy of action, and he occasionally publishes in those areas.
